Style Guide Notes for Lilo & Stitch is a working notebook of ideas and visual guides for creating the world of Lilo & Stitch. I particularly like the idea that everything is Fluffy, which here means soft and squishy forms.
Floor796 is an amazing collection of pop-culture characters interacting through isometric animated gifs. You can click on a character to find out the reference. Easy to lose time wandering through the various rooms. It seems to be growing as more rooms are added on a regular basis too.

Why Designers Should Be Writers reminds us that both writing and design are just forms of thinking and tools used to find solutions to problems.

— David McCullough
Cartoonist James Kolchalka on Being Creative notes that if you are a creative person then you are probably good at many different things. You just need to let yourself be free no matter the medium. Of course, you need to push yourself to try new things or you won’t continue to grow.
The mind tends to see things in a singularly simple, divided way: there is good and bad, ugly and beautiful. The imagination, in contrast, extends a greater hospitality to whatever is awkward, paradoxical or contradictory.
— John O’Donohue
Let your imagination go free. Document the process and capture where you end up.
